Can I add an A record to my domain or point it to a specific IP address?

If you have web hosting on your domain name, then you can easily do this through your web hosting product. If you do not have web hosting, you are unable to do this through any of TechMania-Hosts domain control panel. However, you can use services like afraid.org who offer free DNS hosting. You sign up on their website, they provide you with name-servers (e.g. ns1.afraid.org), you set your domain's nameservers to theirs through your client area account and then you can manage A records, MX records and much more through their control panel. This is the easiest way to manage a DNS zone for your domain without any hosting behind it.
